City Bird wins feature
Horse racing newsCity Bird held off Tide Runner by a head to win the $47,000 allowance feature for fillies and mares at Aqueduct on Wednesday.
Trained by Rick Dutrow Jr. and ridden by Richard Migliore, City Bird earned his third win, running the six furlongs on the fast track in 1:12.73.
City Bird, the 6-5 favorite, paid $4.70, $3.10 and $2.80. Tide Runner, part of an entry with fourth-place finisher Ready for Fortune, returned $3.40 and $2.60. Over Forli paid $4.10 to show.
