Nikolay Davydenko wins ATP World Tour Finals
Tennis newsRussian Tennis player Nikolay Davydenko has won the ATP World Tour Finals beating Argentinian Juan Martin del Potro 6-3 6-4 in the final on Sunday.
The match lasted for one hour 24 minutes.
Davydenko becomes the first Russian Tennis player to have won the ATP tour finals.
Davydenko, who was seeded sixth at the tournament, beat world number one Roger Federer in the semi-finals at Londons O2 arena.
The victory was the Russians first ever against Federer, losing in all 12 of their previous encounters.
The prize money at the event is $4.5 million.
