Notre Dame Mike Brey, the Big East instructor of the year the past two seasons. Has agreed to a two-year pact lean-to to go on with the Irish through the 2014-15 season.

“As his have acknowledged by selecting him teacher of the year the past two , Mike has built one of the top men’s basketball in the Big East Conference,” the Rev. John Jenkins, Notre Dame’s president, said in a statement Monday. “His modest self-reliance and chic are a perfect fit for Notre Dame, and I am sure that we’ll be blessed with silent more realization in coming yonks.”

The 49-year-old Brey has coached the Irish to five 20-win seasons in his years as coach, including five NCAA match appearances, and has a 167-86 world record. He guided the Irish to a 25-8 high last season, the -most wins in a season in bunch history, and this season will homecoming all but one player.

“I love the momentum of our quiz show and the facility improvements that we are making at the Joyce Center,” Brey said.

Brey’s job track record as head trainer is 266-138 in 13 , including five ages at Delaware before coming to Notre Dame.

Last week, Notre Dame also womenfolk’s basketball trainer Muffet McGraw to a two-year agreement broadening through the 2014-15 season.
